Not been the rooms but the pub has been on Four in a Bed I believe. The owners have been there for 37 years (discussion with the bar person). There is a bunk house at the rear also so great for walkers. The chef was chatty but have not tried the food yet. Plenty of customers on a sunny day. Oh! You can park and walk for £4 so it's a winner come summer. My son and I love the place and won't go anywhere else.

The room was clean and warm. It was small but enough for what we needed. Excellent location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The car park is very generous and easily accessible. The breakfast was a little like fawty towers scenario, the toaster was antiquated, either burnt or singed. No bin, when the orange juice or milk jug empty, no refills appeared. The cooked breakfast was sparse. That said l really enjoyed my stay, it was quirky although the main meals were over priced and depending on what staff were on and how busy it was, were just edible.

We stayed in the bunkhouse behind this pub and called in for a pint. The service was good but it is a little unwelcoming at the bar with 'Reserved' on some car seats next to the bar. The staff were pleasant enough and I did try to give them some more custom by asking about them providing breakfast the next morning but we were told that was only for residents. The price was a bit high for a village pub with bitter being above a fiver per pint. The location is excellent. I had read previous reviews about the landlady but I spoke to a lady who was going up to the staff rooms and she was pleasant and asked about our walk. We would certainly go back here.

Fab food. Welcome break from trailing around the Flowerpot Festival. Glad we chose this place for lunch as the food was delicious. I had the sausage and mash, crispy onions, gravy and peas. Very tasty. My wife had roast beef and my daughter had the mussels. They both said they were delicious meals. Good choice of beers and decent value, good service

I stayed for two nights last year and had an excellent experience at the hotel located conveniently near the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and provided great tips for tackling the peaks, which was incredibly helpful. The hotel itself was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with a lovely ambiance that perfectly complemented the scenic surroundings. After a day of trekking, it was so nice to return to such a comfortable space. The location couldn’t be better for hikers—just a short distance from the starting points of the Three Peaks routes, making it super convenient. Waking up to views of the stunning Yorkshire countryside was an added bonus!

We had a really good experience. Good homely pub food which we enjoyed. The room was comfortable and super clean. Good helpful staff. The landlord and landlady were really nice people. It was nice meeting them both. I simply don’t get some of the reviews as the complete opposite of my experience. 100% going again. Really good atmosphere in the bar.

Great little pub great for starting or finishing the 3 peaks. Its very cosy and has some good beers on tap. I cant believe its only 15 pound per person per bunk to stay at this hotel also what a bargain. I didnt on this occasion stay in a bunk but at that price you couldn't really complain
